Katey Taylor

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

I am passionate about affordable housing and helping Fernie and the Elk Valley grow in a sustainable way that benefits all community members. I believe strong communities start with safe, affordable homes and feel fortunate to work with a team dedicated to creating housing opportunities throughout the region.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and our dog, exploring the outdoors, and making the most of everything this incredible region has to offer. In the summer, you can often find me at the lake, and in the winter I enjoy taking advantage of the many outdoor activities that make the Elk Valley such a special place to live.

My favorite part of the job is connecting with the Elk Valley community in many different ways; whether that be directly supporting our clients, collaborating with other non-profits and community workers, or chatting with city counsellors. Working for a grassroots organization is very fulfilling and I feel lucky to get to see the positive impact we have in the community!
