The Elk Valley Family Society (EVFS) is non-profit charitable organization. In partnership with BC Housing, we currently provide a number of housing programs offering different levels of support in Fernie, and Sparwood.

Our Services

  • Second Stage Housing

    Elk Valley Family Society’s Second stage housing is a private, secure, low-cost apartment unit where you can live safely and independently for 6 - 18 months. Staff are available to provide emotional support, safety planning and referrals.

  • Housing for Seniors and people with Disabilities

    For many seniors and people with disabilities, finding affordable and stable housing can be a challenge. We offer over 30 units of safe, affordable housing in Fernie and Sparwood to help seniors stay in their community, close to family and friends.

  • Affordable Housing

    Affordable rental housing is for people who have a low-to- moderate income but may not be eligible for subsidized housing.
